It is spread over 8000 hectares in Çamaltı Saline in Çiğli. It is a unique place in terms of bird species, with the natural conditions Izmir has. Many mammals, fish and reptiles live here.
This paradise where endangered animals such as dalmatian pelicans, pink-winged flamingos, the Eurasian kingfisher which was the mascot of 2005 World University Sports Games in Izmir, 205 bird and 314 plant species with gray and black storks live is incomparably perfect as well as being one of the most important wetlands in our country.
Çamaltı Saline and Bird Paradise are a rare blessing for nature lovers and those who love photography.
Çamaltı Saline in the field meets a significant part of Türkiye's salt needs with an annual capacity of up to 600 thousand tons.
The Bird Paradise is 10 km away from Çiğli and 26 km away from Karşıyaka. The region, which is visited by 50 thousand birds per year, is on the migration path of birds. The Bird Paradise is also an archaeological site.
Here; the visitor center has bird watching towers, binoculars and sightseeing bicycles.
Note: It can be visited at all hours until dark in the evening.
