Izmir Daffodil

 It is a plant with a poisonous onion that has up to 20 species in the daffodil family. Its leaves come out directly from the onion. It is one of the first plants to bloom in spring. Daffodils are dark yellow. Their homeland is Çeşme. They also grow in Karaburun and Mordoğan. Because the climate of Türkiye is favorable for growing daffodils, it grows almost everywhere.

Collecting and Storing Daffodils: From March to June, the roots are removed and washed, peeled and dried. The flowers are collected in March and May. Distillation is done with water vapor and "Eretic Oil” is obtained.

 

BENEFITS OF DAFFODIL:

* Onion mash is used to clean, dry and heal the pus of wounds.

* When 5 grams of it is drunk with honey, it helps vomiting.

* For the pelade disease, onion root is rubbed into the head after plastering and mixing it with vinegar.

* For uterus and bladder pain, flower water is drunk with water and honey like sherbet.

* It reduces fever.

* It eliminates constipation.

* It has a diarrhea-causing effect.

* It is effective for epilepsy.

 

USAGE: It is dried and powdered. 0.5-1 gram of Daffodil onion is put in a teapot. Boiling water (300-400 ml.) is added and brewed. It is drunk in the morning, afternoon and evening little by little.

WARNING: The daffodil root is poisonous. Therefore, it should be used responsibly and correctly.
