Buca Pond is one of the most favorite recreation centers of the Aegean Region and İzmir. It was established on an area of 167 thousand m2. Buca Pond was opened in April 1998 by the Municipality of Buca and was put into service of the public in March 1999.

Within the facility of the pond, there is a restaurant for 300 people – a meeting hall for 600 – a cafe with beautiful view – barbeque area – deli shop – amphitheater – picnic area – Cafe & Pub view terraces – Children park – supermarket – babysitting room – prayer room and car park.  

There are concert-theater and other activities in spring and summer. For those who want to get away from the sweltering atmosphere of the city, hobby gardens, view terraces, picnic areas and amphitheater are among the services offered.
